The first time with them was a great experience, but the second made me never go back. Booked an appointment in advance the barber was out sick, and the appointment was canceled. Yes I did receive notice of this, but no mention of "Hey, let's reschedule or anything else." Left right before the holidays looking for a fresh cut. Thankfully for them not responding was able to find a great barber at another shop that was to get me in last minute.

I wish I found this place before, first of all, the location is perfect, you can walk around, have a bite and enjoy the view before or after your appointment. The shop itself is super clean, the staff is great and the haircuts are amazing. My hair it's not easy to work with and Julio did an amazing job.

Julio is an amazing barber. I just moved here and needed a haircut and shave. I asked him if he could help me change my look up to fit my face shape better and he came through! I can't think of a time my hair or beard looked better. Everything looks so clean and sharp.

First time here and this place was very clean and they were friendly. Julio was super funny. There was no appointments available and he fit me in and made me feel comfortable. My haircut came out amazing and, I never compliment cause I'm super picky. If your in Newport news. Definitely come check this place out and ask for Julio. He's my go to barber.

Julio at the Proper barbershop in Port Warwick is a great barber. He listened to what my sons needed and made great suggestions. Fantastic hair cuts on both my young men. We will continue to go there!

BEST HAIRCUT IVE EVER HAD!!! Julio is amazing and a great guy. I've searched a long time for someone to cut my hair the exact way I wanted it and he NAILED IT!! 100% recommend and will forever go there now

Service: Haircut Julio, He is awesome barber at proper barbershop in port warwick. He carefully cut my hair the way I wanted. I really like it. I highly recommend (five stars)him and the proper barber shop all staff. Good will.

Got rescheduled, totally fine. Hair cut, great. Shop, great. Cleanliness, great. But, Barber seemed to have an attitude, we brushed that off, everyone has off days. But, my issue is the dry shave, numerous knicks spots on my boyfriend’s neck. Missed spots. Kinda insulted my boyfriend for “jumpiness” jokingly. My partner has ASD. I just think it’s a little inappropriate to make fun of a customer. Especially when things were the way they were. Hopefully this person will have a better day tomorrow.
